Acceptable use policy

This is a working draft. Sections marked with a placeholder still need input from woople before this page is final. It is not legal advice.

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is incorporated into the woople Terms of Service. By using the platform, the customer agrees to this policy. Defined terms have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

woople is built to help businesses create useful, accurate content that builds their visibility online. This policy sets out the uses that are not allowed: uses that would harm the people who read the content, harm third parties, or create legal exposure for the customer or for woople.

The customer is solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before publication. Generating content through the platform does not transfer that responsibility to woople.

2. Hard prohibitions

The following are prohibited without exception. A customer found to be in breach of any of these will have their account suspended immediately, pending investigation, and may be permanently terminated.

2.1 Child exploitation and abuse

The customer must not use the platform to generate any content that:

Any suspected breach involving child exploitation will be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities without notice to the customer.

2.2 Hate speech and discrimination

The customer must not use the platform to generate content that:

2.3 Illegal drugs and controlled substances

The customer must not use the platform to generate content that:

Content for lawfully operating businesses in regulated cannabis or pharmaceutical markets is permitted where the customer holds the relevant licences and complies with all applicable laws and advertising restrictions in the jurisdiction where the content is published.

2.4 Violence and harm

The customer must not use the platform to generate content that:

2.5 Illegal activity

The customer must not use the platform to generate content that promotes, facilitates, or provides instruction for any activity that is unlawful in the jurisdiction where the content is published or where it is targeted.

3. Content the customer is responsible for

The following content types are not hard prohibitions, but the customer bears full responsibility for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring compliance before publishing. woople generates content on the customer's instruction and does not warrant that generated content in these categories is accurate, compliant, or appropriate for publication.

3.1 False and misleading content

The customer must not publish generated content that contains false statements of fact presented as true, misleading or deceptive claims about the customer's own products or services or about competitors, or content designed to deceive readers about its origin, authorship, or accuracy.

AI-generated content can contain factual errors, hallucinated sources and statistics, outdated information, and confident assertions that are simply wrong. The customer must independently verify all factual claims, statistics, citations, and regulatory statements in generated content before publication. The fact that content was AI-generated is not a defence to a misleading or deceptive conduct claim, a defamation claim, or any other legal claim arising from published content. The customer publishes at their own risk and bears full responsibility for everything they publish.

3.2 Defamatory content

The customer must not publish generated content that makes false statements of fact about an identifiable person or organisation, or that is designed to damage the reputation of a person or organisation without factual basis.

3.3 Intellectual property infringement

The customer must not publish generated content that reproduces, quotes, or closely paraphrases third-party copyrighted material without a lawful basis, or that uses third-party trademarks in a way likely to cause confusion or imply endorsement. The customer is responsible for verifying that published content does not infringe third-party rights.

3.4 Regulated content

The customer is responsible for ensuring that generated content published in regulated categories complies with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and mandatory disclosures. This includes:

woople does not review generated content for regulatory compliance. The customer publishes at their own risk and is solely responsible for compliance in every market where content is published.

3.5 Spam and unsolicited communications

The customer must not use generated content in unsolicited bulk communications or in a way designed to circumvent spam filters or mislead recipients about the sender's identity.

4. Prohibited uses of the platform

Regardless of the content generated, the customer must not:

5. Agency and multi-brand customers

Agency customers are responsible for ensuring that their underlying clients' use of the platform complies with this policy. A breach by a client managed through an agency customer's account is treated as a breach by the agency customer.

6. Review and publication responsibility

woople generates content. The customer publishes it. The customer is solely responsible for:

The customer is responsible for complying with applicable AI-generated content disclosure and labeling requirements in their jurisdictions and on the platforms where the content is published.

7. Enforcement

woople may:

woople will generally give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach before taking action, except where:

For breaches involving child exploitation, woople will report to relevant authorities without prior notice to the customer.

8. Reporting

If you believe the platform is being used in breach of this policy, please report it to hello@woople.ai. woople will investigate all reports in good faith and take action where a breach is confirmed.

9. Changes to this policy

woople may update this policy from time to time with reasonable notice via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance.
